3:30PM ET - Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, is pushing for a new amendment in the tax bill to help Americans save and spend wisely for their children’s education. Senator Cruz will also give us his opinion on the resignation of Senator Al Franken and the Mueller probe.

United States Senate passed their version of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, better known as tax reform. Only one additive floor amendment made it into the bill.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) offered an amendment to make 529 education savings accounts even more useful than today. 529 accounts up until now have been used exclusively for college tuition and expenses. The Cruz amendment expands the use of 529 dollars for two additional purposes--tuition for students in K-12 private and parochial schools, and costs related to homeschooling a child. Up to $10,000 per year per child can be distributed for these purposes.

4:05PM ET - Sara Carter, Investigative Journalist is here to discuss her discoveries into FBI General Counsel James A. Baker and Andrew McCabe who is the Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, with news that there may be some discovery into things happening at the FBI that would cause drastic changes to the agency as soon as this week. A reminder of Sara’s report on Baker from July of the year:

FBI General Counsel James A. Baker is purportedly under a Department of Justice criminal investigation for allegedly leaking classified national security information to the media, according to multiple government officials close to the probe who spoke with Circa on the condition of anonymity.   Three sources, with knowledge of the investigation, told Circa that Baker is the top suspect in an ongoing leak investigation, but Circa has not been able to confirm the details of what national security information or material was allegedly leaked.

A federal law enforcement official with knowledge of ongoing internal investigations in the bureau told Circa, "the bureau is scouring for leakers and there's been a lot of investigations."

The revelation comes as the Trump administration has ramped up efforts to contain leaks both within the White House and within its own national security apparatus.

Baker is a close confidant of former FBI Director James Comey, and recent media reports suggested he was reportedly advising the then-FBI director on legal matters following private meetings the former director had in February with President Trump in the Oval Office.

4:30PM ET - John McLaughlin, Pollster and founder of McLaughlin and Associates & Doug Schoen, Pollster, Author, Political Analyst for Fox News and a Columnist for Newsmax, are here to highlight the bias and selective wording of the latest Quinnipiac poll, and where the temperature of the country is on President Trump and his administration, here is John’s take:

Bottom line the sample is biased – ONLY 21% Republican. The wording is biased.

Their wording of ” Do you approve or disapprove of the Republican tax plan?”  implies a tax hike and Republicans as a brand are less popular than Trump. So with their biased sample and wording they get only 29% approve, 53% disapprove.

When we asked a more fair sample model of likely voters based on Nov 2016 national exit polls of 33% Rep and 36% Dem, and phrase the question “do you approve or disapprove of  President Trump’s plan to cut taxes?”. The voters approve 56%-35%.

Fake, biased media polling. Keep up the good work.

5:05PM ET - Danielle McLaughlin, an Attorney/Constitutional Expert who co-wrote The Federalist Society: How Conservatives took the Law Back from Liberals & Jonathan Gilliam, host of The Experts and author of the upcoming book, Sheep No More, and TV and Radio host Steve Malzbergdiscuss the news of the day ranging from Senator Al Franken’s announcement, to President Trump’s announcement regarding Jerusalem to the implosion of the FBI and the ongoing scandals within the Mueller probe.

Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn. said he plans to resign after more than a half dozen women came forward over the past several weeks with allegations that he touched them improperly or made unwanted sexual advances. Franken also disputed some of the accusations and suggested he is being held to a different standard than President Trump.

"A couple months ago I felt we had entered an important moment in the history of this country," Franken said on the Senate floor. "We were finally beginning to listen to women about the way mens' actions affect them," he said. "Then the conversation turned to me," said Franken. "I was shocked” but trying to be respectful of the women's feelings, he said. "It gave some people the false impression I was admitting to doing things that in fact I haven’t done," he said, insisting "some of the allegations against me simply are not true."
