Police in Florida Search for Attempted Robbery Suspect

24/7 News Source — Authorities in Florida are still looking for a man who attempted a carjacking in a Walmart parking lot.  

Police said the incident happened in Tamarac, Florida, on December 5th.  

Store surveillance caught the suspect walking out of the store and then checking door handles in the parking lot.

Miguel Leon, who was parked in the lot, noticed what the man was doing and confronted him.  

Leon was able to knock a weapon out of the suspect's hand before the man fled the scene.

Police are reminding shoppers to be aware of their surroundings especially during the holidays.
