Jimmy Page says he's working on releasing some rare Led Zeppelin material next year for the band's 50th anniversary.

"There'll be Led Zeppelin product coming out, for sure, that people haven't heard, because I'm working on that," Page said in an interview for the Academy of Achievement. "Next year will be the 50th year, so there's all manner of surprises coming out."

It remains to be seen whether Page's "surprises" will simply include more studio outtakes, songs that never made Zeppelin albums or, dare we say it...live shows.

The iconic guitarist spent the last several years remastering the Led Zeppelin catalog for a series of expanded reissues, including outtakes and previously unreleased music.

Ultimate Classic Rock notes that engineer John Davis wrote and then deleted a Facebook update in October saying that he was "mostly mastering Led Zeppelin."
