A stranger is saving Christmas for a single mother in Maine. Trisha Murphy, of Sullivan, said she received a $500 tip from a man she was serving at Denny's. Murphy said she was feeling particularly overwhelmed this holiday season and was racking her brain trying to figure out ways to make ends meet.

She has four children and was unsure how she would pay her bills and get all of them Christmas presents. But that all changed when, despite her stress, she maintained a great attitude while serving some strangers at Denny's.  Murphy said she plans to use the money to get her towed car back.
