2 Missing Girls Are Found Shivering In Storage Unit & Prophet Is In Custody

Two sisters, 4-year-old Hatti and 8-year-old Dina, went missing from their Utah home on September 13, 2017.
Their mother, Micha, had legal custody of the kids after her recent divorce. The siblings were initially believed to have been taken by their “fundamentalist” father, John Coltharp.
This is where things take a bizarre and creepy turn.
The family feared that John Coltharp had handed the girls over to Samuel Warren Shaffer, a self-proclaimed “prophet” linked to a new, cult-like religious group called Knights of the Crystal Blade.
As it turned out, Hatti and Dina’s two brothers had also gone missing, but were found sooner. Newsweek reports:
“Initially, all four of the Coltharp children were missing. Their mother voiced her concern that, as her two boys were returned, her girls were suffering. ‘I’m so unbelievably happy to talk to my boys, and they are OK. And so sorry for my girls, and it’s so sad they are suffering, and they don’t have each other or their parents,’ she told CBS4.
“The boys were found during a raid of a suspected polygamist compound and had been living in a restored storage shed with just one window. An Amber Alert was issued for the two girls but later canceled.”
This past week, an anonymous tip led police to a building outside the town of Lund, Utah. There, authorities found a miracle inside a cold and dark “storage receptacle.”
There was concern that the sisters were being hidden by their father so he could prepare them for marriage at an early age. While polygamy and bigamy are illegal in the United States, Utah does not prosecute law-abiding polygamists.
