Bad First Date Ends Up Ruining 300k Worth Of Art

The next time you're on a bad first date, make sure to keep your valuable art collection under lock and key. That's what one Houston attorney learned after his first date with a Dallas woman ended with at least $300,000 worth of damage to his sculptures and original paintings - including two works by Andy Warhol.

Prosecutors say Lindy Lou Layman and Houston lawyer Anthony Buzbee were out on a first date when Layman ended up getting too tipsy. According to Buzbee, he tried calling her an Uber after they returned to his home, but she allegedly refused to leave and instead hid inside his home. 

After Buzbee eventually found her, he called a second Uber car to come get her and that's when she got aggressive. Authorities say she began to tear down several of Buzbee's paintings, pouring red wine on some. She also threw two $20,000 sculptures. 

Layman's LinkedIn profile indicates that she works as a freelance court reporter while Buzbee is known for successfully defending Texas Gov. Rick Perry in an abuse-of-power case.
