Couple Loses Almost 400 Pounds Thanks To A New Year's Resolution

By Dave Basner

January 2, 2018

Most people give up on their New Year's resolutions before January ends, but Danny and Lexi Reed stuck with theirs, and it really shows.

#throwbackthursday goes out to my husband, best friend, swole/soul mate, prom date, gym partner, high school sweet heart, and the man who made me who I am today @discoveringdanny. Our wedding day was perfect and he always made me feel beautiful no matter what size. I wouldn't change a single thing about our wedding day & it was honestly one of the best days of my life! I dont regret getting married when I was 485lbs and I felt beautiful despite my size. My goal was to feel like a princess and even though finding a dress was a struggle - my size 34 dress was perfect for me. Together weve lost 394lbs together, but we gained a life! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Time to get lean in 2018! When 2016 began, they set forth to shed some weight. At the time, Lexi tipped the scale at 485 pounds and Danny weighed in at 281. They wanted to drop a combined 400 pounds and now, two years later, Lexi is down to 180 and Danny is at 192, nearly hitting that mark.

#transformationtuesday -308lbs👇 since 1/1/16! My name is Lexi and I spent 25 years as a prisoner in my own body. At 485lbs & a BMI of 78 - I was fedup. There wasnt a "click" moment for me but multiple events that added up & I was fedup with living my life on the sidelines. I was fedup with my stomach touching my steering wheel, struggling to put on my shoes, not fitting in booths, not being able to shop where I wanted, not being able to climb a flight of stairs without gasping for breath, struggling to walk a block, getting kicked off rollercoasters, not being able to fly on an airplane, and not feeling like I was living the life I wanted. I knew also that if I didnt get my health under control I would die at an early age or never be able to start a family with my husband. When you become fedup with the life you are living and fight back for what you want - you will find freedom from your own prison. You will live not just exist. Start today! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Get paid to get lean in 2018! Fedup & ready to start 2018 fighting back for your health? Obviously it's taken changes to their lifestyles and diets to drip all that weight. These days they focus on eating fruits, vegetables and lean protein while keeping their carb intake low.

#transformationtuesday -394lbs 👇 combined since we made a New Years Resolution to lose weight together 01/01/16! When I met @discoveringdanny at 16 years old I weighed 300+lbs. Hes never known me as less than a size 22W until now. He has never treated me like my size or asked me to change. He doesnt make me feel any less worthy at 179lbs than he did at 485lbs. We met at a local coffee shop where we were both seeing a local band and I immediately jokingly told my bestfriend I was going to get his phone number. I had never had a real boyfriend and I never expected for him to be so interested in me due to my size. I never imagined 10 years later how different life would be from that moment and how we would take on the world together. Losing weight is hard but even harder when the ones you love dont support you. We deserve someone that loves us and makes us greater due to that love. Even if we must be that person and fall in love with taking care of ourselves. Dont wait for the New Year to change your life like we did - start today! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedup & ready to start 2018 fighting back for your health? Lexi spoke of their transformation saying, "I have learned it is not about the weight that you lose, but the life that you gain."
