Shonda Rhimes Announces HTGAWM And Scandal Crossover Episode

It is officially happening: Shonda Rhimes posted on Instagram to reveal there will be a crossover between her two hit shows 'How To Get Away With Murder' and 'Scandal' on ABC!
Scandal star Kerry Washington posted her own photo on Instagram revealing herself in Olivia Pope style sitting on a bench on the set of HTGAWM. She captions the gram, "Hey Ms @violadavis check it out. This spot look familiar?! Where are you?"
Viola Davis, replied with an Instagram right back at the star with a photo of her character Annalise Keating standing in the Oval Office. She writes, "Hey @KerryWashington, guess where I am?!"
Deadline first reported a crossover was in the works.
This is the first time any Shonda Rhimes shows have done a crossover, although fans ask for it constantly! ABC constantly brings Kerry Washington, Viola Davis and Grey's Anatomy star, Ellen Pompeo, together to promote their Thursday nights on the network.
Scandal and How to Get Away With Murder return on Thursday, Jan. 18 at 9 and 10 p.m., respectively, on ABC.
