When you get into a taxi, Uber, or any other ride, you pretty much expect things to go well.
You might worry that the driver is a little weird, or that traffic will disrupt your journey, but you probably don’t worry about a major catastrophe, like something falling through the window and nearly killing you.
But that’s exactly what happened to Quenton Allen and Tabby Mouser.
Quenton is an Uber driver, who had picked up Tabby on Christmas Eve in Louisville, Kentucky, WHAS Louisville reports.
As they were driving, Quenton and Tabby passed underneath an overpass on the highway. That’s when something crashed through the car window, landing inside the car.
The object that had crashed through the window turned out to be a sand brick, weighing at least 30 pounds, according to Quenton.
Thankfully, neither Quenton nor Tabby were killed by the falling brick, though they both believe they could have been. Tabby says, “I’m lucky to be alive – we’re lucky to be alive. If I had been in the front seat, it probably would have killed me.”
Quenton believes the brick was dropped from the overpass intentionally, and that the person who did it was aiming to hit a car, and had “intentions of killing someone.”
No arrests have been made in connection with this case yet, but Quenton says the person who did this is “gonna have to face the consequences.”
