Kirk Douglas received a standing ovation at the 2018 Golden Globes on Sunday, January 7. The legendary filmmaker, 101, was honored during the awards show and made a rare appearance on stage alongside daughter-in-law Catherine Zeta Jones while presenting the award for Best Motion Pictures Screenplay.

Catherine, who is married to Kirk's son Michael Douglas, paid tribute to her father-in-law's career, honoring films such as Spartacus, Lust for Life and Detective Story.
Kirk adorably thanked his daughter-in-law, telling her: “I could never follow you.”
