Sterling K. Brown made history at the 75th annual Golden Globes on Sunday (Jan. 7) night.

Back at the 2017 Primetime Emmys, Brown made history as the first black actor in the past 19 years to win an Emmy award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Then, tonight at the 2018 Golden Globes, the star also picked up an award for Best Actor in a TV Drama for his role in "This Is Us." This made him the first black person to win this honor, as well!

“You wrote a role for a black man, that could only be played by a black man,” Brown said to the creator of "This Is Us," Dan Fogelman, in his acceptance speech. “And so, what I appreciate so much about this is that I’m being seen for who I am, and being appreciated for who I am. And it makes it that much more difficult to dismiss me, or dismiss anybody who looks like me. So, thank you, Dan.” See this special moment below.
