A principal in Florence, Kentucky had a unique way of announcing his school wouldn't be in session thanks to heavy snow that had brought their city to a stop.
Union Pointe Academy Principal Chad Caddell decided that a special occasion like a snow day for students deserved a special announcement. So, clad in his his (best?) winter wear, Caddell channeled his inner diva and sang the cancellation notice to Mariah Carey's - Hero.
"Good morning Union Pointe Academy parents and students, this is your principal Mr. Caddell, I've got something in my heart that I just have to share with you..." Caddell begins to sing.
“There’s a message, if you look inside your phone... You don’t have to be afraid of what it says,” Caddell croons. "I see streets, and roads. Have shut the city down, so I'm reaching out to you and I gotta say....."
"The school is cancelled for today. Go back to bed, and go out and play. Tests and homework, not a trace. Parents, don't punch me in the face!"
Caddell also included some suggestions for students for what they could do on their day off:
"Play some Xbox with a smile. Drink hot chocolate for awhile, you can thank me really soon, here's a snow day just for you..."
