Check your freezers an ice cream manufacturer has issued a widspread recall over concerns of Listeria exposure. Fieldbrook Foods says they're expanding its recall of orange cream and chocolate-coated ice cream bars.

The recall includes 26 brands of ice cream bars that are sold at more than 30 retailers across the United States and Puerto Rico. Fieldbrook Foods says the ice cream was manufactured at its facility in Dunkirk New York, in 2017.

The expansion notice says the recall has been expanded "out of precaution for consumer health and food safety after a few additional samples tested positive for the presence of Listeria."

Some of the chains that sold the tainted ice cream include Winn-Dixie, Bi Lo, Harveys, Aldi, Dollar Tree, Kroger, Safeway, Ralph's and Jewel.

Listeria can lead to Listeriosis, a sometimes fatal infection in  young children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems.

Fieldbrook Foods says those customers who have purchased the products to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Anyone with questions can contact the company at 1-800-333-0805 x2270.
