Report: Trump, Schumer to Meet at White House

A report says there are last-minute negotiations about to take place in an effort avoid a government shutdown.  

NBC News reports that President Trump has asked Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer to come to the White House in an attempt to reach some sort of agreement. 

Schumer has reportedly agreed to meet.  

The government runs out of money at midnight without a funding extension.  

Democrats are insisting that longterm protections for so-called Dreamers must be included in any deal.
