Tillerson, Russia's Lavrov Discuss Syria

The Russian Foreign Ministry says Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov discussed the war in Syria Saturday.  

The phone call reportedly focused on ways to bring stability to the north of the war-ravaged nation.  

One possibility discussed was using the United Nations to address the conflict. 

The seven-year Syrian civil war has pitted U.S.-backed forces and others against the Russian-allied Syrian government.
