Trump Campaign Ad Blames Democrats for Murders

President Trump's re-election campaign is running a new ad accusing Democrats of being complicit in murders committed by illegal immigrants.  

The ad was released Saturday as the government was shutdown amid a budget impasse that involves DACA, a program that provides protection for illegal immigrants brought to the U.S. as children.  

The ad deals with an illegal immigrant who was charged with killing two California police officers in 2014.

"Democrats who stand in our way will be complicit in every murder committed by illegal immigrants," the ad says.  

Trump filed for re-election the day he took office.
