Nope... it wasn't your TV that went out.
NBC was quoted to say that 'equipment failure' lead to a 30 second blackout during the Super Bowl... however fans are a bit skeptical.
Social media went nuts when the blackout first hit the airwaves. Many wondered if it was a simple mistake or their TVs.
When they tell you to put your commercial in .mov format but it’s really .mp4 #blackout #SuperBowl

When 30 seconds is worth 5 million $USA and no commercial @NBC @ABC @Fox @espn @Microsoft :) pic.twitter.com/Sh3kLYLfbr
However many did not believe NBC's tweet which said:
“We had a brief equipment failure that we quickly resolved. No game action or commercial time were missed."
So if no commercial time was missed... many fans theorized that the ad was a commercial for Black Mirror! Thoughts? Do you think so?
I’m convinced that the black screen commercial during the Super Bowl was an ad for Black Mirror🤔🤫 @netflix #BlackMirror #SuperBowlCommercial
