Kendrick Lamar and SZA's new video for their "All The Stars" single will take your breath away because it's one of the most beautiful music visuals we've seen in a very long time.
The two TDE stars just dropped the song last month. "All The Stars" is one of the 14 tracks on the Black Panther album, which Lamar is executive producing and curating. "Marvel Studios' Black Panther is amazing, from its cast to its director. The magnitude of this film showcases a great marriage of art and culture," the rapper previously said in a press release. "I'm truly honored to contribute my knowledge of producing sound and writing music alongside Ryan and Marvel's vision."
It looks like Lamar is taking his role very serious. Not only have the songs we've heard off the Black Panther soundtrack fire, but so is the first music video we've just seen from the project. In the "All The Stars" visual, both Lamar and SZA are surrounded by bold, colorful, breathtaking, African-centric silhouettes, as they perform the track. When we tell you that every single scene in the video is outstanding, we truly mean it.
"Love, let's talk about loveIs it anything and everything you hoped for?/ Or do the feeling haunt you?/ I know the feeling haunt you," Lamar starts the song. "Tell me what you gon' do to me/ Confrontation ain't nothin' new to me/ You can bring a bullet, bring a sword, bring a morgue/ But you can't bring the truth to me/ F**k you and all your expectations/ I don't even want your congratulations/ I recognize your false confidence/ And calculated promises all in your conversation."
SZA comes in with the chorus: "This may be the night that my dreams might let me know/ All the stars approach you, all the stars approach you, all the stars approach you/ This may be the night that my dreams might let me know/ All the stars are closer, all the stars are closer, all the stars are closer."
Black Panther the album drops Feb. 9 and the movie debuts in theaters on Feb. 16. Excited yet?!
