Couple Sank Boat They Sold Everything to Buy. The Internet Wants to Give Them a Second Chance.

It’s a story that could only happen in 2018.
Nikki Walsh, 24, and her boyfriend, Tanner Broadwell, 26, dreamed of leaving behind a normal life and sailing the Caribbean. They sold everything they could and bought a 28-foot sailboat for $5,000.
Unfortunately, the couple didn’t have sailing experience prior to buying the boat, and they didn’t buy insurance. Broadwell’s father taught the pair to sail, but it wasn’t enough to help them navigate the foggy night when the sailboat hit something in the water and capsized.
Walsh and Broadwell aren’t ready to “give up on their dreams,” and apparently, people don’t mind helping them. The couple’s GoFundMe page has raised more than $14,800 so far to finance the couple’s sailing dream, surpassing their $10K goal.
Glenn and Stu talked about this unbelievable millennial story on today’s show.
