Kit Kat voted the world's favourite chocolate bar

Chocolate is one of the smallest yet most delicious treasures in life.

It gets us through our most fun times, our toughest times, and basically just all of the time. 

But which bar is most loved by the world?

When we say "bar" in this context, we mean your staple chocolate bars. None of these cups, eggs, bits, balls, pieces or patties. Just your standard choccie bar.

A survey on voting site Ranker has revealed the top bar most loved by the world.

Taking the number one spot is Nestle's Kit Kat. The wafer-y, chocolate-y, have-a-break-y, Kit Kat.

Coming in second was the nutty Snickers.

And the Snickers was followed up by the Twix, Milky Way and Hershey Bar in third, fourth and fifth place, with the rest of the top 10 consisting of Nestlé Crunch, Butterfinger Bar, 3 Musketeers, Toblerone and Baby Ruth.

Of course a lot of these bars aren't available everywhere, and some of our faves haven't even had a mention?! Where's the mighty Moro? The Cadbury Dairy Milk?

Other bars in the top 50 included Mars (15th), Cadbury Dairy Milk (17th), Kinder Bueno (29th), Aero (32nd), Galaxy (42nd) and Crunchie (46th).

But no bar could beat the wafery, chocolate jammed Kit Kat. This could be due to the fact that Kit Kat's are reasonably universal and can be found in many places throughout the world. But we won't argue that a Kit Kat is pretty darn delicious.
