Waterwold in Concord is under new ownership. The park will have a new name and new look when it opens in May!

The park will now be called SIx Flags Hurricane Harbor. The park will also get a new attraction called Splashwater Island, a large water play area that will include interactive sprayers, water jets and geysers. That feature, which will open later in the spring after the season opening, will be the largest development at the water park in several years, according to a Six Flags spokeswoman.

Dining and retail areas will be renovated and slides will be repainted, and there will be new “luxury cabanas” and lounge chairs, according to a news release from Six Flags.
