A man named Elvis D. Presley can't help falling in love with the idea of running for Congress and for this Elvis impersonator, it's now or never.

This isn't the original Elvis Aaron Presley who died in 1977, but rather, a Star City, Arkansas native who performs as Elvis when not running for office.

Presley is set to represent the Libertarian Party in the race against Rep. Rick Crawford (R-Ark) in this year's election for the 1st Congressional District in east Arkansas. Crawford has represented the area for the last four terms.

A clip posted to Presley's Facebook page demonstrates that the would-be congressman has plenty of experience performing as The King. The clip above shows Presley crooning Suspicious Minds for a crowd at the Oklahoma State Fair a few years ago.

Presley, who changed his name to honor the legendary singer-songwriter, has unsuccessfully run for other political positions in Arkansas before, including Arkansas governor, land commissioner and the state Legislature.

Ahh... thank you very much.
