JIllian Jacqueline's current single "Reasons," was written around the time she was going through a break-up.
Breaking up is a hard thing to do for anyone, but if you've ever been in a situation where it almost seemed easier to stay, then this song is written about you.

She said that the song became therapy for the situation that she was dealing with. The song talks about how we can come up with a lot of excuses when the hard thing is, is to leave. It was one of those situations where it almost seems easier to stay, but then you're just prolonging the pain.
Lyrically the song just talks about all the reasons why these two people, don't want to just call it quits.
