Chicago rapper Towkio recently dropped his debut album ... FROM SPACE. Yes, you read that right. The 24-year-old, real name Preston Oshita, actually went up into space, and literally dropped his album, WWW.
Towkio recorded his successful space mission and posted it to YouTube, and to top it off, the cover art for WWW. is him in his space suit. WWW. includes 13 tracks in total and features guest appearances from artists like SZA and Vic Mensa, among others.
Traveling up into the Earth's atmosphere, Towkio reached an altitude of a whopping 92,575 feet. A video of his trip to space explains the desired "overview effect." It read, "A cognitive shift in awareness reported by astronauts during spaceflight, often while viewing the Earth from orbit. The experience creates new level of consciousness seeing firsthand the reality of life on Earth for its true phenomenon. From space, national boundaries vanish, the conflicts that divide people become less important, and the need to create a planetary society with the united will to protect this 'precious blue dot' becomes both obvious and imperative."
Then, after getting into his tiny space craft, with WWW. attached and secure in his space suit, Towkio went up into space to literally drop his album. So. How does one go about going to space to do this? Learn the steps in this easy guide from Towkio below.
