Who Is Jimmie Allen?

Jimmie Allen grew up in Milton, Delaware. He says it was a town that didn't really have a lot of people, but they had a lot of stuff to do.

Growing up his dad listened to nothing but country music, and his mom listened to christian music. From a young age it was only those two genres of music for him. The older he got he was exposed to other genres, rock, hip-hop, R&B. He said he tried to take all those influences and mesh them together to see what was honest to him as an artist.

In school he played sports, but could never shake the music bug. He realized that it was for real, and so in order to chase that dream he decided to move to Nashville. He picked Nashville because of the music, but also the small town feel the city had.

Though the ups and downs of his first few years in Nashville, Jimmie never gave up and now has released his debut single "Best Shot." Hear it below.
