FHS Choir in Central ParkThe Friendswood High School Choir's Spring Trip to New York City has been a trip none of us will ever forget. Each day has brought it's own amazing experiences and we find ourselves asking how this trip could have possibly been any more fun or meaningful for the choir! Today, we stopped in to test the acoustics of the Bethesda Terrace in Central Park. Upon our arrival, a street performer was playing "A Thousand Years" on guitar and the choir began to sing along. In the distance, a couple who was about to be married came over and asked the choir if they would sing that again for them before they said their vows. It was a very touching moment for everyone present that even included snow falling just outside...it was truly something you'd see in a movie! What I have learned on this trip is that the choir is able to take their instruments anywhere and sporadically perform on the spot. It was a very moving experience for everyone and people started flocking towards us to listen and take video of what was going on...something we will never forget. What an awesome morning at Central Park.
