TMZ is reporting that Nelly's rape accuser Monique Greene was hospitalization for emotional distress.

Sources told the news site that a friend of Greene's had a phone conversation with her last week and could tell that something was wrong with her when she hung up. The friend said Greene sounded "severely distressed." So, she called 911 and asked authorities to head to her home and make a welfare check on her. Greene's lawyer also told TMZ that her friend was worried about his client's "continuing severe emotional distress related to the alleged Nelly rape and the aftermath."

"Emergency personnel responded and we're told they felt it was best to take Greene to a hospital," TMZ reads. "She agreed to go voluntarily. She was there for a few hours in the evening before being released. Our sources say there were no signs or talk of suicide."

Last fall, TMZ broke the story that Nelly was being accused of rape by a woman whom he met at one of his concerts. Since that story, a couple of other women from the U.K. have claimed that the rapper/actor sexual assaulted them, as well. Nelly and his attorney have denied all of these allegations. The artist even countersued Greene, back in January, for making such claims against him.
