Earlier this week, Sam Smith teased the release of a remix to "Pray," his newest single from The Thrill Of It All, featuring Logic and the star-studded team-up has been described as the most important guest feature of the rapper's career, as per the MC himself.

On Thursday (March 29), the Timbaland and Jimmy Napes-produced number dropped and it hears the 28-year-old rapper deliver two new verses about feeling like an outcast and they pair rather nicely with the gospel-tinged production. "I am me/ I'm a man, I'm a sinner/ But understand, aren't we all?/ So when it comes to passin' judgements I don't think that you're the one to make the call/ Heaven want to cast me out for being me, I know there's others like me that'll break the fall," he spits.

"This is the most important feature I've ever done. Writing from the perspective of someone who feels unwanted and un accepted. Im here to tell you there are others like you!" Logic wrote about the collaboration. "You're loved and you CAN be yourself! Thank you @samsmithworld for giving me the platform."

"Pray," which was previously released as a promotional single for Smith's sophomore LP, was inspired by the time that he spent in Iraq with the charity War Child. "I spent five days in Mosul and came back embarrassed that I had known so little about the world and other people's lives," the singer told Billboard. "I went back to that great Nina Simone quote, that it is important to speak about the times you live in. I hadn't done that; I'd just written a bunch of songs about love. So I wanted to write about how I’m now starting to open my eyes, at 25, to what is going on in the rest of the world, and that it’s not always pretty."
