The Marines Are Easing Tattoo Rules

When it comes to their strict rules about tattoos, The Marines are doing an about face.  Over the weekend, a Marine recruiter who handles Marines wanting to join the reserves announced on social media that those with tats could now look to get a waiver to enlist under lighter rules than before. Marines have complained about the strict tattoo rules for strong candidates and those looking to re-enlist for a long time.

The ban included full-sleeve tattoos and limited the size of tats on the arms or legs. The Army, Navy, and Air Force have already relaxed their tattoo rules. Marines Corps Commandant Gen. Robert Neller says, "he would consider more flexibility if he was convinced that the current policy was hurting the Marines."
