Above Normal Hurricane Season Predicted For South Florida

Here in South Florida, we are treated to so many months of beautiful warm weather while the rest of the country sits inside to avoid the below freezing temperatures. I guess the world's way of getting revenge on us is through hurricanes and just like the last few years, the predictions for this year's hurricane season are not looking pretty.

This morning in San Antonio, TX; the National Tropical Weather Conference released the 2018 Hurricane Season Forecast. Meteorologists have concluded that we should expect an above normal hurricane season. (Better start hoarding cases of water now!)

According to the Tropical Meteorology Project, we can expect 14 named storms, 7 hurricanes, and 3 major hurricanes to make landfall along the continental U.S coastline and Caribbean. (Get those vehicles filled up too!)

This is the first forecast release of the year and is said to be the most highly anticipated annual event. Although, are we sure we really want to know the possibility this early on? Let us enjoy our perfect golf and beach weather just a little bit longer! 

Hurricane season will start on June 1st and run through November 30th. We can't wait to see what nature has in store for us this year! ... or can we?
