It was hard not to feel for Safaree after he appeared on the Angie Martinez show just hours after he had been robbed at gunpoint. Holding back tears, the Love & Hip Hop star described the harrowing experience where two guys stole $183,000 of cash and jewelry from him. Days later, Safaree responded to the criticism that he shouldn't have gone on the show afterward, admitting that he was still shaken up by the event. “Seeing your life flash b4 your eyes is a life changing experience," he tweeted. "Nothing funny about it. It’s probably only funny to ppl who don’t have anything or never experienced it. My uncle was killed in a robbery so when thinking about my situation all I think about is him.”
He continued: “I’m not crying over lost jewelry, that’s material but being face and not knowing if you’re about to get shot in the back of your head is the most traumatic thing I’ve ever had to deal with. Thank God I’m still alive. They want me broken but all they did was make a beast out of me!!”
Even Charlamagne got at listeners of The Breakfast Club who wanted the radio host to deem him Donkey Of The Day. One person who clearly had no sympathy for Safaree was T.I., who left a brief and biting message for him. On a post from The Shade Room detailing the events of what happened, T.I. commented, "Cold world...get a sweater" with the shrug emoji. Brutal!
The suspects who allegedly robbed Safaree have been arrested. The suspects got into an intense chase that the suspects even crashed their car and attempted to flee the scene by foot. TMZ reports that Safaree knew one of the men involved in the robbery and even posed for a pic with him with ex-girlfriend Nicki Minaj.
