It’s time to take a band break.

Lady Antebellum’s drummer Chris Tyrrell, who is also the husband of the group’s Hillary Scott, has announced he will take a break from Lady A to be home with the couple’s newborn twin daughters, Betsy Mack and Emory JoAnn.

Hillary tells People she and Chris, who are also parents to 4 ½-year-old daughter Eisele Kaye, “feel at complete peace” with their decision.

“We’re both equipping each other to do exactly what we’re supposed to be doing right now,” Hillary tells the magazine. “We just came to that agreement together. It was one of the easiest decisions we’ve ever made and the peace that we’ve felt since we made it has just been continual proof of it being the right call.”

Chris adds he’s “looking forward to” the break. “I’ve been a bandmate, employee, husband and dad, so I’m okay removing a hat,” he says. “Besides, when you looked at whether the band could do without me or her, there wasn’t much question!”

Hillary intends to spend quality time songwriting with bandmates Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood on the road this summer.
