A man has been arrested after breaking into Taylor Swift’s home in New York City.
It’s reported that the NYPD responded to reports of a burglary at the apartment at around 12:30pm on Friday local time.
“During the investigation officers arrested Rodger Alvardo, 22 from Florida,” read a statement from the NYPD. “He is charged with stalking in the 1st, burglary, criminal mischief in the 3rd and criminal trespassing in the 3rd.”
TMZ are also reporting that Alvardo took a shower and fell asleep in one of the beds after breaking his way into the apartment.
Taylor Swift is not believed to have been in NYC on Friday and her apartment is currently being renovated and so it’s not likely that she would have been living there at the time of the break in.
The singer has made no comment about the incident but on Friday she posted a video to her Instagram thanking her fans for listening to her new song ‘Babe’ with Sugarland.
This comes just after Taylor’s stalker, Frank Andrew Hoover, was sentenced to 10 years probation.
