This Is What Uranus Smells Like (Hint: It's Not Good)

OH WOW.

A new study of Uranus has confirmed that the planet smells really bad... like really bad.

Uranus smells like farts and rotten eggs.

A team of scientists (who were probably laughing throughout this entire study) have found that the hydrogen sulfide in the clouds surrounding its surface are what cause the smell.

It's literally the chemical behind the smell of rotten eggs, NASA said Tuesday in a news release, and the same noxious gas behind the smell of passed gas.

AMAZING.

"The funky finding, published Monday in the journal Nature Astronomy, comes after an international team of researchers analyzed light from Uranus captured by a telescope atop Hawaii's highest mountain, Mauna Kea," NBC writes.

Welp... there it is!
