Westfall Settles SVC Softball Title Chase

The only thing undecided business to take care in SVC Softball is whether Westfall will win a Gold Ball for an unbeaten conference season. The Lady Mustangs sewed-up the outright crown Friday with a 7-1 win at Piketon. 

The victory came in a less dramatic finish as their first meeting with Piketon when Westfall had to rally from an 8-3 deficit, and needed a 7th inning walk-off homer for an 11-10 win.

The SVC championship is Westfall's 6th in school history, the second straight, and fourth in the past five seasons. 

In search of a perfect SVC season, (12-0) Westfall travels to Southeastern on Monday and concludes at home with Unioto on Wednesday.
