An Indiana mother is facing charges of child molestation, child exploitation, and possession of child pornography after police say that she recorded herself molesting her children and then selling the videos to buy drugs. Jaime L. Simms was arrested after the father of her children found the videos on her cellphone and alerted police.

"I feel sick, I felt sick since I found out."

Simms admitted to police that she made the video in which she molested her three year-old-daughter while she was sleeping. She then shared the videos online, sending them to five unidentified males using the messaging app Kik and made around $200, which she used to buy drugs.

"It's a case where a 3-year-old who was asleep was taken advantage of by an adult," Clark County Prosecutor Jeremy Mull said. "In this particular case, the allegation is that the defendant filmed the child abuse/child molestation that was occurring and then did distribute the video of that molestation on apps or websites that included Kik, Reddit and a something known as Omegle."

One of her co-workers testified in her initial hearing that she had a well-paying job and did not appear to need money to buy drugs. He said he was shocked by allegations, but believed that she derived some kind of gratification from selling the videos.

Simms is being held on $50,000 bond and faces up to 20 years in prison if she is convicted. Her two children, aged one and three, are in the custody of their father.
