The remains of Verne Troyer were cremated and will be returned to his home state of Michigan according to TMZ who obtained a copy of his death certificate. The certificate lists his cause of death as "deferred" because the coroner's office was waiting on the toxicology report, which will not be completed for another four to six weeks.

The 49-year-old actor died in the hospital on April 21st while seeking treatment for alcohol poisoning. He had a blood alcohol content three times the legal limit of .08 and was on life support until his death.

The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office said that it considers his death a "possible suicide" due to the amount of alcohol in his system when he was admitted to the hospital. He reportedly told the 911 dispatcher that he "wanted to die." In 2017, he returned to rehab to battle alcoholism, something he had been fighting for years.
