Kanye West is having a busy week.  First, the rapper had a conversation with The Breakfast Club's Charlamagne Tha God where he discussed his love for Donald Trump, former President Barack Obama, his beef with JAY-Z, mental health and so much more.  Then, he stopped by TMZ to further share more of his controversial views.

"Being in competition with so many elements at one time. On a race against time, your age, you're getting old, race against popularity on the radio. 'Saint Pablo' ain't playing," West told Tha God about his previous hospitalization. "When you're in the hospital bed and you're next to your friend and you tell them, 'Don't let this person leave my side' and they put you inside an elevator and take all your friends away from you, that was the scariest moment of my life. That's something that has to change."

But, West really took the cake when he discussed slavery on TMZ. "When you hear about slavery for 400 years. For 400 years? That sounds like a choice," West shockingly told the news outlet. "Like, you was there for 400 years and it's all of y'all? It's like, we're mentally in prison."

He added: β€œI like the word prison because slavery goes too direct to the idea of blacks. It’s like slavery, holocaust. Holocaust, Jews, Slavery is blacks. Prison is something that unites us as one race. Blacks and whites being one race.” After that, TMZ employee Van Lathan schooled him for his words. Watch that moment go down below.

Since West's confusing statement, people on twitter have reacted with some classic memes. With such a bold statement as this, which hurts many people, social media decided to turn their pain into humor in order to deal with such an appalling thought from the rapper. Thus, the hashtag  #IfSlaveryWasAChoice was born. See the best tweets of the hashtag below.

The internet remains undefeated.
