On Wednesday (May 2), we learned that a 41-year-old man named Jonathan Jackson was arrested and charged with trying to extort an undisclosed amount of money from Kevin Hart by threatening to leak a video of the comedian engaging in sexual activity with a woman who wasn't his wife. Now, more shocking details are emerging.

Associated Press reported that Johnson was taken into custody on Monday (April 30) in Los Angeles, California and was still in jail on $100,000 bail. As many remember, Hart went on social media to apologize to his wife and kids about the scandal. While staying at a Las Vegas hotel, he was with a woman named Montia Sabbag. Sabbag would later hire Lisa Bloom to clear her name because many believed that she was the one behind the extortion.

However, it was not. TMZ is reporting that, instead, the alleged extortionist was one of Hart's closest friends! "We've learned Jackson -- who goes by J.T. -- was an actor and close friend of Kevin's for more than 15 years," the news outlet claims. "Jackson was in 'S.W.A.T.,' 'Naked' and even in Kevin's movie 'Think Like a Man Too.' The two have posted several photos together through the years and J.T. even attended Kevin's bachelor party."

Take a look at some Instagram posts that Johnson previously posted with Hart below.

After news broke that Hart's alleged extortionist was charged, the comedian/actor tweeted, "Mind blown...Hurt...at a lost for words and simply in complete disbelief at the moment. WOW." See that message below.
