Find Out The Most Popular Star Wars Movie In Your State

As Star Wars fans around the world celebrate May the 4th, the unofficial Star Wars holiday, Reviews.org decided to figure out the most popular Star Wars movie in each state. To determine this, they examined Google Trends data to see what movie was searched for the most by people in every state. 

Empire Strikes Back was by and far the most popular movie across the country, taking the top spot in 20 states. Surprisingly, The Phantom Menace came in second place, taking the top spot in 11 states. 

The original trilogy of A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi beat out the newer movies, taking the top spot in 27 states compared to 23 states who searched for the newer movies. 

Utah was the top searcher in the country for seven of the nine movies. The only two films people in Utah were not searching for were Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. The Last Jedi, was the most popular movie in the state, joining New York and Michigan as the biggest fans of the latest movie.
