2 Chainz Proposed to Girlfriend Kesha Ward on The Met Gala Red Carpet

The Met Gala. It's the Super Bowl of fashion. It's also the place to get engaged ... just ask 2 Chainz! The rapper proposed to his girlfriend, Kesha Ward, on the Met Gala red carpet, getting down on one knee as they were walking up those famous steps.

Complex caught the rapper and his new fiancée as they were talking to go inside The Met, and asked how long he had been planning this milestone. Well, 2 Chainz must have been so moved by his surroundings and the "Heavenly Bodies" theme, because he replied, "just about a minute ago"

Oh, and she said yes. As noted by the official Met Twitter account. But you can probably tell by the joyful (and surprised) expression on her face.

The newly engaged couple has been dating since 2013, and have three children together, Heaven, Harmony and Halo (Hey their names kinda match The Met Gala theme!)

Photos of the proposal show a surprised look on her face, but it looks like she's ready for a wedding, she was already wearing a white gown! Ward's dress had long fringe down the right sleeve with a high slit, showing off the tattoos on her leg.

Kesha proudly showed off her new engagement ring to the cameras.
