Girl Asks Instagram Model To Prom, He Says Yes But The Internet Screams NO

For the past year, Carter Wilkerson has been enjoying as many chicken nuggets as he wants. You'll recall he tweeted at Wendy's asking how many retweets it would take to get a year's supply of nugs. While he didn't hit the 18 million goal set by the fast food chain, he did wind up with the world record for most retweets - enough to win the nuggets... and enough to have everyone and their mother start asking corporations and strangers on Twitter how many retweets it would take to get something.
One person who did that this week is a teen looking for a prom date. She reached out to fitness trainer and Instagram model Danny Jones and asked the sculpted stud how many retweets it would take for him to go to prom with her. He told her 100,000 so she turned to Twitter and asked everyone to get to work:

She wound up passing the 100K goal, but she got a lot of comments as well:
The mix of support/hate I’m getting in my DMs is unreal. I’m equally touched and scared for my life. thank you all <3

Some people went after Danny's body:

The teen stood by her "man":

As for what happens next, she plans to keep everyone up to date:
Oh wow.. I really didn’t think I would even come close to 100k 😭 Thank you everyone and I’ll be back later with an update for those that care lmao https://t.co/aRgMf0kvn6

This isn't Danny's first time going viral. A year ago he gained tons of followers after being compared to a tree:
