Blake Shelton to Co-Host Today Live Before the CMT Awards

Blake Shelton and Hoda Kotb are kicking off the CMT Music Awards with a special Today show pre-party. 

The country star will sit in for Kathie Lee Gifford June 6, the morning of the fan-voted extravaganza, when he and Hoda Kotb co-host the fourth hour of the hit NBC morning show live from his new bar and music venue, Ole Red Nashville

During the telecast, the pair will announce the five finalists for the coveted Video of the Year award. 

Blake himself is nominated for both the night’s top honor and Male Video of the Year for “I’ll Name the Dogs.”

Voting to determine the winners in each category is underway at CMT.com through 12:01 a.m. ET on June 4. 

Little Big Town will host the 2018 CMT Music Awards live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on June 6 at 8 p.m. ET.
