Carrie Underwood, Backstreet Boys Added to CMT Awards Lineup

The CMT Music Awards keeps getting bigger. 

Country music’s loudest night will feature performances by Backstreet Boys, Carrie Underwood, Dan + Shay, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean and first-time hosts Little Big Town, CMT announced today (May 29).

Additionally, the CMT Music Awards will showcase summer’s hottest collaborations between 2018 tour mates Dierks Bentley and Brothers Osborne on “Burning Man” as well as Darius Rucker with Jason, Luke Bryan and Charles Kelley on “Straight to Hell.” 

Previously announced performers include Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, Chris Stapleton, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan and Sam Hunt. 

Voting to determine the winners in each category for the CMT Music Awards is underway at CMT.com through 12:01 a.m. ET on June 4.

On the morning of the fan-voted event, the finalists for Video of the Year will be announced during a special pre-party live on the Today show, hosted by Blake and Hoda Kotb. Voting for the winner will then continue through the live show on Twitter.

Little Big Town host the CMT Music Awards June 6 live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena at 8 P.M. ET only on CMT.
