A piece of my heart is truly broken this morning. And the irony, the sad cruel irony is that the last year he’d never been happier. The rest of my heart aches for the 3 amazing women he left behind.

Maybe we all wanted to hang out with him. He was that cool, fun, frank, insightful. He introduced us to distant lands and to people with different traditions. And without ever preaching, he reminded us that we humans are far more alike than different. Thank you Anthony Bourdain pic.twitter.com/QMznx4JMhS

Oh! One more thing! In the Okinawa episode, he had a meal in the Makishi fish market and y’all—I got my mom to share stuff about her mom and childhood bc of him simply eating in a specific location. My mom doesn’t open up easily about my grandma. Thank you, Anthony Bourdain.

My culinary career as a chef is still young but I promise I will approach it with Bourdain's passion from here on out. 🤘🏼
Watching Anthony Bourdain made me appreciate food and its strong ties to cultures around the world. His TV shows were fun but also impactful. Overcame many demons...sadly they returned. RIP. https://t.co/fTZcTkVstK
