The Backstreet Boys may have had their heyday 25 years ago, but that doesn't mean fans wan't still freak the hell out when they see them. Especially while enclosed in a small space like an elevator.
In a truly Throwback Thursday moment, BSB surprised fans in a MTV office elevator ahead of their appearance on TRL (what year is it again?).
Brian Latrell started things off by casually humming next to three fans decked out in BSB gear. "Fancy seeing you here" one of the girls said, trying to keep it together. Howie Dorough and Kevin Richardson then caught the elevator from a different floor, and the girls' jaws dropped. When A.J. McLean and Nick Carter entered the elevator to complete the five-man group, the girls couldn't take it anymore and totally lost it.
Richardson looked over at one of the girls. "I like your shirt," he said. As more fans piled in, one asked if the group's going to sing for them. On cue, the guys started singing "I Want It That Way" and the packed elevator sang along. They jumped into "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" before slowing things down with "As Long As You Love Me," while fans jubilantly exited and entered the elevator.
"We're never getting off," one girl said in awe.
