Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's newest edition to their family, Chicago "Chi" West, is five months old, but it looks momma Kim is finally revealing the little one's middle name! (And that fact that she has a middle name at all)

On Instagram, Kim shared an adorable picture with her darling daughter, and it shows Chi making a face while surrounded by pink hearts, thanks to Kim's chosen Snapchat filter. But the most important part about this IG post is in the caption: "Chi Noel" surrounded by matching pink hearts.

Chicago did not previously have a middle name, and one did not appear on her birth certificate. Neither of Kimye's other children, five-year-old North and two-year-old Saint, have middle names, but this could be a new tradition.

In fact, Noel is also Kim's middle name, which would follow the tradition of passing down family names — something Kim's siblings have bestowed upon their children in some way. Mason Disick's middle name is Dash, which obviously comes from "Kardashian," and Khloe's new bundle of joy, True Thompson, is named after Kris Kenner's grandfather. Chicago's first name, is also important as it is the city her father, Kanye, grew up in.

Welcome to the good life...

So, why did Kimye give Chicago a middle name, but not North and Saint? She could be the exception, being the she has a three syllable name, unlike her siblings, and they were considering naming her after other members of the Kardashian/West family before settling on Chicago, anyway.

Back in April, Kim explained to Ellen DeGeneres while appearing on her talk show that she likes one syllable names (hence her first two children's names), and that her and Kanye were considering naming her Jo (after Kim's grandmother Mary Jo), as well as Donda, after the rapper's late mother. She said, "We were gonna name her Jo, because my Grandma, Mary Jo. Or we were gonna go with Grace — and then it was Chicago." She added, "He really wanted his mother's name, and I love that name too, but I just wasn't sure. It's so much to live up to."

As for Kim's penchant for one syllable names for her kids, and breaking that tradition with Chicago, she said explained, "It kind of messes with me. I'm not going to lie. I really like the one-syllable thing." And that's how Chicago's nickname came to be ... "Chi," pronounced "shy."

So, there you have it. Chicago "Chi" Noel West.
