During a recent appearance on Consequence of Sound's Kyle Meredith With… podcast, Sheryl Crow divulged she'll be releasing her final album in 2019. But don't worry, fans, the "If It Makes You Happy" singer is far from done with putting out new music.

“Albums as an art form are kind of a little bit of a dying art form. People are more interested in singles,” Crow said. “So I made the decision in my head that the record that comes out next year will be my last full album. I’ll start putting songs out, and that feels good to me.”

For her final collection of songs, the singer-songwriter is going out with a bang. The untitled album will feature the likes of Stevie Nicks, Keith Richards, Don Henley, and St. Vincent. And though she admits she came into the age of music streaming services and singles “kicking and screaming,” the 56-year-old musician slowly “dragged herself” into embracing the direction the music industry is currently going.

“It feels great not to spend time in the studio to make a fully realized conceptual album, but just to put out really pertinent songs that feel immediate,” she said.

Though we're not sure when we'll see new singles from Crow, she has stated she'll be releasing them through the digital distribution website Stem, which allows artists to track and organize music revenue.
