Sarah Hyland Shows Off Surgery Scars in 4th of July Photos

After recently experiencing a health scare that landed her in the hospital, Sarah Hyland seemed to be in good spirits on the 4th of July. She celebrated the holiday with friends, enjoying some fun, sun, and selfies. The Modern Family star shared several bikini snaps on her Instagram in which her surgery scars were visible, captioning one of the snaps on her story with #ScarsOnDisplay. She happily posed in a cute, mismatched bathing suit, proudly showing off the scars from her 2012 kidney transplant.

It's great to see Hyland it's feeling better after her recent health scare and hospital stay. “Sometimes a selfie is more than just a good angle and feelin' cute. This time for #nationalselfieday I’ve decided to share my truth. As painful as it,” Hyland shared on Instagram from the hospital, alongside a selfie showing her swollen face. “So here is my face that was torn from work against my will. But I’m very grateful it was. Health should always come first.” she included the hashtag “#stayhealthymyfriends” on her post. 

Hyland was nothing but smiles and funny captions in her photos from the 4th of July. She spent the day with friends and appeared to be having a blast. The only downside, though, is that her boyfriend Wells Adam was absent from the festivities. He was posting about how much he missed his girlfriend on his own Instagram, even though he was hanging out with Kaitlyn Bristowe and Miley Cyrus. Celebs...they get FOMO, just like us!
