dumblonde Bring It Back To Studio 54 With New Single 'White Hot Lies'

After showing the world that Danity Kane was only part of their musical identities, Aubrey O'Day and Shannon Bex of dumblonde have returned to the scene with a dirty disco single called "White Hot Lies."

Clocking in at three-and-a-half-minutes, the track sees the indie-pop duo reunite with R8DIO, the man behind their self-titled debut LP, who offers sparkling production with funky guitar licks, handclaps, and nods to Studio 54, otherwise known as one of the greatest dancefloors to ever exist in New York City. "Your white hot lies electrify me/ I might just like the way they feel in me/ Make me high on a low and I can't let go/ But I'm never satisfied/ Your white hot lies electrify me/ So lie to me," the pair sing in unison on the hook. With a flare of retro soul, "White Hot Lies" offers a twofold trajectory to the latest chapter of the pop pair's career. While it serves as refreshing turn in direction for O'Day and Bex, it, more importantly, feels like a natural one for the twosome.

"White Hot Lies" is the first single off the pair's sophomore effort, which is set to drop later this year. To celebrate its release, the DK sisters took to NYC to host a 4th of July pool party at the Profundo Day Club.

Prior to the track's release, O'Day took to Instagram to share a touching note that certainly hit home for supporters who have been there since their origins on MTV's Making The Band 3. "I wanted to say from the bottom of our hearts, we are so grateful to all of you who continue to support our passion and dreams," she wrote. "We don't take any inch for granted. I've tried my best lately to keep the vulnerability of my heart off of social media as sometimes in our journey through life it is best to preserve it. I also am aware and honored that many of you have been inspired by the honesty and no bullsh*t take I have shared throughout my growth. So, this album is for you! I hope my truth can inspire and motivate yours."
